  • Chopped Onion 1 and ½ cups
  • Chopped Garlic 1 tsp
  • Green Chili 2 pc (Sliced in half)
  • Ginger Paste ½ tsp
  • Garlic paste ½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder ½ tsp
  • Red Chili powder 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder ½ tsp
  • Coriander powder ½
  • Salt to taste
  • Tomato 1 pc (Sliced into 8)
  • Chopped Cilantro ¼ Cup
  • Lukewarm water 1 and ½ cup
  • Cooking Oil 1/3 Cup

Instructions
  1. Peel the scale of the fish slices nicely and rinse them very well. After cleaning the fish well keep them in a Strainer so that all the water gets drained. When all the water is drained from the fish, take the fishes from the strainer to a bowl. Add ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp red chili powder and ½ tsp of turmeric powder to the fish and mix them well with the fish.
  2. Now let the cocking oil hot on a pan on the stove. When the oil is hot enough, place the spices stained fish slices in the pan oil. Fry the both sides of the fish slices in medium heat until the fishes turn brown.
  3. Once the fishes are nicely fried take them out of the pan and keep them in a separate plate. Now add chopped garlic, chopped onions and sliced green chili in the hot oil where you fried the fishes.
  4. When the onion turns light brown in color, add ginger paste and garlic paste with a little lukewarm water. Stir the mix well for couple of minutes and then add turmeric, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and salt.
  5. Cook the spices mix very well in medium heat. Add little water couple of times while cooking so that the spices don’t stick to the pan. When the spices will be cooked well you will see that the oil in the spices will come over the spices. At this time place the fried fishes in pan within the spices.
  6. After couple of minutes turn the fish carefully. Then add ½ cup of lukewarm water in it and cover the pan with a lid. Cook for 5-7 minutes over medium heat so that the spice goes inside the fish.
  7. After 5 to 7 minutes remove the pan lid and add sliced tomatoes and chopped cilantro on the top of the fish and cook for another 2 minutes. Then turn off the stove and cover the pan with lid until you serve. Your Ruhu Fish Do-Peyaja is ready to enjoy with rice.
